SERVICE REMINDER SETTING RESET PROCEDURE
 NOTICE
This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. New/revised sections of this
bulletin are indicated by a black bar in the margin area.
This bulletin provides information regarding the service reminder setting, which may have been auto-set by
the Kia Vehicle Inspection and Delivery application (KVID) at time of Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI).
Beginning with the 2023MY, Oil Life Monitoring (OLM) has been applied to all models, except Forte (BDm),
Stinger (CK), Telluride (ON) and Soul (SK3). Refer to TSB ENG241 for additional information. As of 08/11/2023,
the service reminder auto-set feature by KVID has been disabled for ALL models NOT equipped with OLM.
Follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin to reset the service reminder on all vehicles with a PDI date of
08/11/2023 and earlier AND the four models listed above.
If the vehicle IS equipped with OLM, it is recommended to utilize OLM for recommended oil service AND the
service reminder setting for tire rotation and/or any other recommended service required by mileage and/or
time. Follow the procedure outlined in this bulletin to reset the service reminder that may have been ‘autoset’ by KVID during the PDI, during the FIRST service interval or upon customer request.

Service Reminder Setting Reset Procedure:
1.
Connect the VCI-II to the OBD-II connector,
located
under
the
driver’s
side
of
the
instrument panel.
 NOTICE
The ECU upgrade function on KDS
operates wirelessly. It is not necessary
to perform the upgrade via USB cable.
2.
With the ignition ON, turn ON the KDS tablet.
Select ‘KDS’ from the home screen.
3.
Confirm communication with VCI (A) and then
configure the vehicle (B) using the ‘AUTO VIN’
(C) feature.

Select Cluster Module, then Service Reminder

Change the Service Type, then select 'OK'.

Select ‘Customer’ (E) as a Service Type.
