This noise may change depending on the HVAC setting being set to either fresh air or recirculation mode. In some cases, the complaint could be a squeak or creak noise from the I/P dash, which could occur while driving at any speed. The cause of these concerns could be either of the following: Cause 1. Either the left or right body harness pass-through (1) not fully seated into the cowl (2), as shown below. 2. Either the left or right I/P tie bar bolts loose or missing (4), shown below. Correction: To correct these concerns: 1. Fully seat the body harness pass-through so that each of the 4 retainers (3) are locked into position, as shown below. 2. Install and/or tighten the I/P tie bar bolts to 22 Nm (16 lb. ft). Warranty Information For vehicles repaired under warranty, please use the appropriate warranty labor operation based on the actual cause and repair.
