Bulletin No.: PIT6041 Published date: 07/18/2023 Preliminary Information PIT6041 Diagnostic Tip - 3rd Row Power Folding Seat Overhead Console Switch Indicator Models Brand: Model: Model Years: VIN: from to Engine: Transmissions: Cadillac Escalade Models 2021 - 2023 All All All All Chevrolet Suburban 2021 - 2023 All All All All Chevrolet Tahoe 2021 - 2023 All All All All GMC Yukon Models 2021 - 2023 All All All All Involved Region or Country North America Additional Options (RPO) Condition Cause AS8- Third Row Power 60/40 Split-Folding Bench Seat Vehicles equipped with a 3rd row power 60/40 split folding bench seat may have red indicator lights that are located in the overhead console folding seat switches, shown below. These red indicators will illuminate if a third row seatback is not fully latched in the up seating position. This PI is to provide details regarding a change to the elimination of the red indicator feature. The red indicator operation/feature is being phased out and will no longer be used. Starting mid year with the 2023 models, the red indicators will no longer be used. In addition, when working on an early 2023 or previous model year, that did have operational red indicator lights, certain service parts will no longer support the feature. Elimination of the 3rd row overhead console power folding seat switch red indicator feature. Correction: When diagnosing a complaint of a red indicator light on in the overhead console power folding seat switch(s), if the root cause is one of the B377** Seat Back Unlatching Switches, these unlatch switches are no longer available. To correct this concern, replace only the K169 Folding 3rd Row Seat Module, which has new calibrations to ignore the B377** unlatch switches and will disable the red indicators in the overhead console switches. Note: The B377** Seat Back Unlatching Switches were part of the 3rd row seat frame assembly, but now are eliminated. If a seat frame assembly is replaced for any reason, then the overhead console seat switch red indicators will be illuminated.
