Cause: Halfshaft oil seal failure. Action: Follow the instruction(s) below. SERVICE INSTRUCTION: Renew the front or rear halfshaft seals as required, (see TOPIx Workshop Manual section 205-04/05: Front/Rear Drive Halfshafts - Removal and Installation - Front/Rear Halfshaft Seal). During removal of the halfshaft seals, make sure to use appropriate special tooling where possible, taking care not to cause any further damage to the seal so that it can be accurately analysed, for example: - Slide Hammer: 110-012 - Seal Extractor: 308-005 Raise an Electronic Product Quality Report (EPQR). The EPQR must include the following information: - An attached photo showing the existing halfshaft seals before they are removed from the EDU. - Reference to the following engineering department: (PTS_900) EDU Electrified Driveline. Do not discard the existing parts. Make sure the existing parts are available for Priority Return Request (PRR) to allow analysis of the parts to be conducted.
