Issue Description
A manual transmission, in which an oil baffle plate
was not fitted inside the gearbox due to an assembly
error, was installed while replacing the transmission
on the affected vehicles.
If the oil baffle plate is missing, there may not be
enough lubrication and as a result, there may be increased wear on the transmission components over
the service life of the vehicle.
To prevent this from happening, the manual transmission must be replaced.
What should Dealers do?
Please arrange for this measure to be carried out as
soon as possible on affected vehicles.
The remedy is now available as of 8/2/23.
If a transmission needs to be replaced, your dealer must submit a PRMS Parts Ticket for release.
The PRMS Ticket must show photo documentation of the markings on the transmission.
All other parts can be ordered via PPL as normal.
