Workshop findings:
• The label of the HV battery is damaged or missing, and the serial number of the battery cannot be read.
OR
Although the label of the HV battery does not show a serial number for China, the following DTC and
symptom code combination is stored in the Control Module for Hybrid Battery Management, -J840- (address word
008C):
• U153D00 Battery serial number China
Technical Background
This is a diagnostic issue.

Service
Please enter any number with 24 or 26 digits if the GFF requires that you enter a serial number and one of the
following applies:
• The DTC Code U153D00 is stored in the Control Module for Hybrid Battery Management.
• The HV Battery label is damaged or missing.
• The serial number on the label does not have 24 or 26 digits.
