ElsaPro Tip: "Notes":
After you have entered a VIN or selected an existing Job in ElsaPro, a dialog box pops-up
showing what additional information is available for that vehicle. This may include "Notes":
This means that there are Pending Service Solutions (PSS) available for this vehicle.
The PSS information can be accessed from two locations:
1. On the Systems menu, click "Notes". A pop-up will display with a list of relevant
documents:
2. In the Technical Service Handbook (HST) infomedia
Technical Service Handbook
(HST) under Information > Vehicle-specific service information:
Important Note:
We are currently having issues with the displayed list of documents when selecting "Notes" from
the Systems menu (location 1, above).
The list may include erroneous items or broken links.
Our IT team is aware and working to resolve the issue, but we have no timeline yet. Updates will
be included in future newsletters.
In the mean time we encourage everyone to use the "Vehicle-specific service information"
location (location 2, above) to access PSS information.

To identify a misfiring cylinder when a random fault is set (P0300), utilize the
following; Select PCM (ECM) from the module menu (figure 1). At the top of the
screen, mouse over “Monitors” to open the drop down list. Select OBD II monitors.
From the OBD II monitor list (figure 2), scroll down and select “Which cylinder is
misfiring”(figure 3). A value block displaying all cylinder misfire counts can be
viewed and also monitored while running to isolate the causal cylinder. Once the
specific cylinder(s) have been isolated, proceed with misfire diagnosis to determine
root cause and repair as necessary.

The indicator lamp in the I.P. for washer fluid remains illuminated and the washer
reservoir is full. Validate the washer reservoir is full with the proper washer solvent
(G-052-164). Refer to Elsa for proper fluid type and fluid quantities under repair
manual, maintenance, fluid capacity table. If the fluid is not blue in color, drain the
fluid, remove the sensor and clean with cleaner (D-009 - 401 - 04) or equivalent.
Reinstall the sensor, top off washer reservoir with proper fluid and validate that the
indicator lamp in the I.P. is no longer illuminated.
Non-approved fluids can cause residues to form on the sensor which causes the
washer fluid lamp to remain on when reservoir is full . Below are examples of non approved fluids, a picture of the sensor in question (G33) and a picture of the
approved cleaner (D-009-401-04).
