(MDH 0825XX) and built on or before May 13, 2022 (MDH 0513XX).

CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:
The customer may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further
investigation the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs):
• B1073-71 - Volumetric Sensor Fault-Actuator Stuck.
• B1073-96 - Volumetric Sensor Fault-Component Internal Failure.
Customers may also experience:
• The theft-alarm goes off and it is not possible to reactivate it.
• Message is displayed in the cluster stating the theft alarm is disabled.
CAUSE:
Volumetric sensor, part of the dome lamp assembly.
This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU)
23-247, date of issue August 25, 2023. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU
service action is applicable to the vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/
Service Library. All repairs are reimbursable within the provisions of warranty. This RSU will expire 18
months after the date of issue.
REPAIR SUMMARY:
This bulletin involves replacing the dome lamp, which contains the theft-alarm sensor.

DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in DealerCONNECT/
Service Library, verify all related systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs or symptom conditions, other
than the one listed are present, record the issues on the repair order and repair as necessary before
proceeding further with this bulletin.
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. This RSU only pertains to the
vehicles on the RSU VIN list.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1. Replace the front interior dome lamp. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT> Service Library under: Service Info>08 - Electrical / 8L - Lamps and Lighting/ Lamps/
Lighting - Interior / Lamp, Dome / Removal and Installation.
2. Clear all DTCs that may have been set in any module during this repair procedure.
