Technical Background
On model 2023 ID.4 and model year 2024 Atlas vehicles you may notice DTC B101C07 which can be caused by
driving the vehicle five consecutive drive cycles (separated by a bus sleep) without fastening/unfastening the safety
belt. The airbag warning lamp is NOT illuminated for this fault.
Service
Do not perform any repair unless the safety belt switch status will NOT change state.
For Airbag Control Unit (diagnostic address 0015), read MVB “MAS00025 - Driver Seat Belt Switch” (figure 1). You
should see the status change between “connected” (figure 2) and “not connected” (figure 3) when fastening &
unfastening the seat belt.
