Workshop findings:
The following DTC may be stored in the Engine Control Module, -J623- (address word 0001).
• DTC P2407 (P240700) “EVAP emission control system leakage diagnosis pump current fluctuating”.
No other relevant event memory entry is logged in the engine control unit.
Technical Background
OBD diagnostics too sensitive.
Production Solution
New software in the Engine control module, -J623- (address word 0001) addressed the condition.
Service
For Model Year 2023 Q5 vehicles, this TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) TSB 2066675: 01 PSS
MIL on DTC P240700 Evap leak detection pump circuit.
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the -J623- (0001) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary:
