GROUP NUMBER CAMPAIGN DATE Technical Service Bulletin SUBJECT: NOVEMBER 2023 23-01-084H MODEL(S) SANTA CRUZ (NXT) SANTA FE (TMA) OIL LEVEL SENSOR REPLACEMENT (SERVICE CAMPAIGN TAJ) IMPORTANT Dealers must perform this service campaign on all affected vehicles prior to customer retail delivery and whenever an affected vehicle is in the shop for any maintenance or repair. Access the “Vehicle Information” screen via WEBDCS to identify open campaigns. Description: Certain 2023MY Santa Cruz (NXT) and Santa Fe (TMA) vehicles may have been produced with a damaged oil level sensor during assembly. Follow the procedure outlined in this TSB to replace the oil level sensor and gasket to complete the service campaign. Code Operation Santa Cruz (NXT) 30DA11R1 Replace Oil Level Sensor Santa Fe (TMA) Op. Time Causal Part 0.6 M/H 21590-2S000 Nature Cause Code Code B1D ZZ2 NOTE 1: Submit Claim on Campaign Claim Entry Screen. NOTE 2: If a part that is not covered by this service campaign is found in need of replacement while performing the service procedure and the affected part is still under warranty, submit a separate claim using the same repair order. If the affected part is out of warranty, submit a Prior Approval request for goodwill consideration prior to performing the work. NOTE 3: This TSB includes Repair validation photos. Op time includes VIN, Mileage, and Repair validation photos as outlined in the Digital Documentation Policy. NOTE 4: The incident parts are subject to callback through the normal Warranty Technical Center (WTC) parts return process. Claim is subject to debit if the part is not returned. NOTE 5: Dealer will be reimbursed for 7 quarts of synthetic oil under labor op code 30DA11R1. Service Procedure: STUI This TSB includes Repair validation photos. Refer to the latest Warranty Digital Documentation Policy for requirements. 1. Follow the appropriate Shop Manual to replace the Oil Level Sensor (A). ➢ Engine Mechanical System > Lubrication System > Oil Level Sensor > Repair Procedures NOTE: Be sure to use a new sensor gasket. Sensor Fastener Tightening Torque: lb-ft 6.9 N.m 9.3 TSB #: 23-01-084H A A Page 2 of 3 OIL LEVEL SENSOR REPLACEMENT (SERVICE CAMPAIGN TAJ) SUBJECT: 2. Take a STUI photo of the newly installed Oil Level Sensor. STUI Using STUI, take a photo of the newly installed Oil Level Sensor with the last 6 digits of the VIN and the date of repair on a piece of paper. Make sure the sensor is clearly visible. Upload the photo to STUI. 3. Reinstall all components in reverse order of removal. 4. Replenish the crankcase with new engine oil. 5. Confirm/adjust engine oil level to “F”.
