GROUP MODEL BOD 2018-2023MY Rio (SC) and 2019-2024MY Forte (BDm) NUMBER DATE 212 (Rev 1, 11/02/2023) March 2021 TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN SUBJECT: PARTIAL SEAT TRACK REPLACEMENT FOR INOPERATIVE FRONT SEAT NOTICE This bulletin has been revised to include additional information. New/revised sections of this bulletin are indicated by a black bar in the margin area. This bulletin provides information to inspect and repair an inoperative front seat mechanism on some 20192024MY Forte (BDm) vehicles produced from June 18, 2018 through Present and some 2018-2023MY Rio (SC) vehicles produced from January 2, 2017 through August 16, 2023. Symptoms of an inoperative front seat include the inability of the seat to move forward and backward, which may be caused by a pin getting stuck on a rail. To address this concern, follow the procedure outlined in this publication to inspect the seat track, and replace the faulty rail instead of replacing the whole seat track mechanism. Before conducting the procedure, verify that the vehicle is within the production range listed in this bulletin.
