Today, November 10, 2023, Honda is announcing a product update for certain 2018-2023 Odyssey vehicles to update the PGM-FI software that may affect the idle stop
operation under certain conditions. Perform an iN VIN status inquiry to determine which units in your inventory are affected.
BACKGROUND
Under certain circumstances, after coming to a stop and the idle stop feature engages, the vehicle may not automatically restart. Typically, the customer can immediately
restart the vehicle by selecting Park and pushing the ENGINE START/STOP button.
REPAIR
Update the PGM-FI software.
PARTS
The software is available at launch.
TOOLS
There are no special tools needed for this campaign.
SERVICE BULLETIN
Service Bulletin 23-008, Product Update: 2016-23 Multi-Model PGM-FI Idle Stop Software Update has posted to the Service Information System (SIS) as of November 10,
2023. It includes software, repair, and warranty information related to these campaigns.
CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
Honda expects to complete customer notifications by early January 2024.
As always, perform an iN VIN status inquiry for all vehicles passing through your dealership to determine eligibility for any open campaigns.
