Customer states:
• The MIL is illuminated.
Workshop findings:
The following DTC may be stored in the ECM, -J623- (address word 0001):
• P04F000: EVAP system high pressure purge line performance.
Technical Background
Various parts have been replaced under warranty for the condition noted above, but no issues were identified with
these parts. In an effort to gain information on the DTC codes for the vehicles listed above, we are asking that you
contact the Audi Technical Assistance Center (TAC) before replacing any parts. This will assist us in diagnosing
any potential issues with the condition noted above.
Production Solution
No changes to production have been made, as no issue has been identified.

Technical Service Bulletin
• Verify the condition.
• Perform EVAP leak test per ELSA.
• Verify both ends of the vent pipe from the turbo to the breather are connected properly.
• If the vehicle is within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, contact a TAC consultant before proceeding. Please
attach the diagnostic log and leak test results to the TAC Web Ticket. If a leak is found please attach photos of
the source of the leak to the TAC contact.
