• “Drive system: fault. Limited performance”
AND/OR
• “Maximum engine speed 2000 RPM”
Workshop findings:
One or more of the following DTCs (intermittent or static) are stored in the engine control unit J623 (Address word
0001):
• DTC U063200: Lost Communication With Fan 1
• DTC U063300: Lost Communication With Fan 2
• DTC P069200: Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit High
• DTC P069400: Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit High
• DTC P069100: Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit Low
• DTC P069300: Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit Low
• DTC P048000: Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit
• DTC P048100: Cooling Fan 2 Control Circuit
• DTC P10EFA00: Function limitation due to radiator fan failure
Technical Background
The wiring harness for the radiator fans may be loose at an attachment point and chafe against adjacent
components.

Check the wiring harness for the radiator fans in the vicinity of the front right longitudinal member.
1. If the wiring harness is damaged in the area circled in red
(refer to photo), repair it using wiring harness repair set
VAS 1978 B/C.
2. Then secure the wiring harness at the lower longitudinal
member (green arrow Figure 1).
3. Ensure there is sufficient clearance so that the wiring
harness does not contact other components.

The wiring harness must be secured at the smaller hole on the right as the clip will not hold
permanently in the larger hole on the left.
