PRELIMINARY INFORMATION
Subject:
DTC B2600 and B2605 Set With No Other Symptoms
Models:
2014 GMC Sierra 1500
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern
Some technicians may find DTCs B2600.04 and B2605.04 set in the BCM with no other symptoms. These two
DTC's may falsely set if the DRL's are operated and the fog lamps are turned on. The lamps will work as designed,
and there will be no issues or customer complaints with the lamps.
Recommendation/Instructions
Engineering is aware of this issue and a fix should be available shortly. In the meantime, if no other symptoms are
noted with the DRL operation, these DTC's should be ignored.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is
resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
