Often times the concern can be duplicated by driving over bumps or making turning maneuvers. It may sound like a strut, control arm or sway bar. Cause Cradle brace mounting Correction: The cradle brace may be loose, mispositioned or improperly torqued. The cradle brace is a flat bar that attaches across the cradle with a bolt on each end. See # 1 in illustration below. Remove the cradle brace and drive the vehicle under the conditions that will duplicate the noise. Note: Simply torquing the brace may not resolve the concern. It needs to be removed, reinstalled and torqued. If the noise is gone with the brace removed, reinstall the brace and torque to specification.
