Some customers may comment that when the front heated seats are turned on, the
heated seats work normally, but some or all of the "ON" indicators in the heated
seat switch are inoperative.
Because a heated seat switch indicator is inoperative, a customer may also think
that the front heated seats are inoperative, but the heated seats will still operate.
The cause of this concern, could be an issue with the A26 Front HVAC Control
Interface.
Cause
Correction:
At this time, do not replace the A26 Front HVAC Control Interface due to the fact that current stock will have the
same issue.
Engineering is working on procuring updated A26 Front HVAC Control Interface assemblies and when they are
available, this PI will be updated.
Verify that the front heated seats do operate when turned on and just the switch indicator is inoperative. Please
explain to the customer that when the vehicle is rst started the heated seats will be o . After the vehicle is
running, the rst press of the heated seat switch will be the "High" setting, second press will be "Medium", third
press will be "Low" and the forth press will be "O ".
