Condition
Some customers may comment that the upper lid of the console center armrest is
separating from the lower section when trying to open.
Cause
The cause of the condition may be that in high temperatures, the retention force is
insufficient to retain the panel when opening the armrest.
Correction
If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, complete the Service Procedure
outlined below.
Service Procedure

dangerous goods. In the event of a conflict between
the procedures set forth in this bulletin and the

those applicable laws.
Important: This technical service bulletin (TSB) can
only be completed by certified repair facilities who have
met all specific training, tool and equipment
requirements pertaining to the vehicle Brand and Model
serviced. Repairs must be performed by a technician
who has successfully completed the required training.

1. Add 3M Scotch-Weld Structural Plastic Adhesive
DP8010 adhesive (or equivalent) in the snap
retention features at front of armrest lower panel
shown above.

2. Reinstall the armrest lower panel at front edge per
the illustration above and allow adhesive to dry per
directions on packaging (10 minute work life with
60 minute handling strength).
