Information
Current diagnostic procedures have been updated to better assist in diagnosing the rear
differential mechanical & electrical components. Previous documentation was not clear,
which led to mis-diagnosis for module replacement.
Diagnostic procedures in Service Information have been updated to address
misdiagnosis resulting in replacing the Rear Differential Control Module (RDCM) or
Module Kit.
Perform new published diagnostics (DTCs) in Service Information:
• If a SPAC case was issued and new information corrected the vehicle without
replacing the module, please cancel Module Kit SPAC Case.
• If the new diagnostic leads to replacement of the Diff Clutch Valve, a new Diff Clutch
Valve Kit (P/N 19435486) is now available individually (Diff Clutch Valve was previous
only available as part of Module kit or diff clutch assembly).

GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these
technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper
service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a
job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your
vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the
information.
