• B1 vehicles built on and after October 06, 2022 (MDH 1006XX) and on
EE
CH
and before July 27, 2023 (MDH 0727XX) equipped with a 1.3L I4 Turbo DI
Engine (Sales Code EYF).
• B1 vehicles built on and after August 01, 2022 (MDH 0801XX) and on
and before August 16, 2023 (MDH 0816XX) equipped with a 1.3L I4 Turbo
MAIR DI W/ESS E 100 Engine (Sales Code EYJ).
• M1 vehicles built on and after October 11, 2022 (MDH 1011XX) and on
and before August 18, 2023 (MDH 0818XX) equipped with a 1.3L I4 Turbo
DI Engine (Sales Code EYF).
• M1 vehicles built on and after August 02, 2022 (MDH 0802XX) and on

CUSTOMER
SYMPTOM:
Customers may experience the following:
• Metallic clicking noises when when moving the vehicle forward and reverse
CAUSE:
Right insulator is prematurely fatigued
This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) has also been released as a Rapid Service Update (RSU) 23-283, date of issue
October 12, 2023. All applicable RSU VINs have been loaded. To verify this RSU service action is applicable to the
vehicle, use VIP or perform a VIN search in DealerCONNECT/Service Library. All repairs are reimbursable within the
provisions of warranty. This RSU will expire 18 months after the date of issue.

DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RSU VIN list, perform the repair. If any vehicle not on the VIN list exhibits
any of the symptom listed above in the customer symptom section, perform the Inspection Procedure.

Place the vehicle in a parking space with the front and rear clear.
Put the gear in drive, wait five seconds and advance from 0.5 meters (1.64 feet) to 1 meter (3.2
feet) and brake.
Put the gearbox in reverse, wait five seconds and return 0.5 meters (1.64 feet) to 1 meter (3.2
feet) and stop.
Repeat this process two times.
If in the process of shifting gears, going forward and backwards, did you hear noise in the right
insulator?
• YES>>>Proceed to Step 1 of the Repair Procedure.
• NO>>>This bulletin is complete. Use Inspect LOP (09-40-20-90) to close this active RSU.
REPAIR PROCEDURE:
1.
Replace the right engine insulator. Refer to the detailed service procedures available in
DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: 09 - Engine, 1.3L I4, Turbo / Engine Mounting / Insulator,
Engine Mount, Right / Removal and Installation.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
