Bulletin No.: Service Bulletin Date: 23-NA-205 November, 2023 TECHNICAL Subject: Audio Boom or Drone Noise Caused by Active Noise Cancellation with RPO UQS Brand: Model: Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Model Year: VIN: from to from to 2024 2024 — — Engine: Transmission: 6.2L (LT2) — Involved Region or Country North America, Europe, Middle East, Japan Additional Options (RPOs) Equipped with 10 Speaker Bose Audio System (RPO UQS) Condition Some customers may comment on one or more unwanted boom or drone noises in both coupe and convertible Stingray 1LT models. • Boom / drone noise during AFM (V4) operation. • Boom / drone noise in Park between 1,500 and 2,000 engine RPM. Note: This bulletin only apples to Corvettes with amplifier RPO UQS. Cause The cause of the condition may be that the wiring harness may have a different polarity than the amplifier for the right front midrange speaker. Correction Verify the connector is working. Refer to the Service Procedure below. Follow SI for Vehicle Performance Data Recorder Bracket Replacement (Doc ID 5388184) to remove the bracket covering the T3 radio speaker amplifier in the passenger footwell. 2. Use terminal removal tool J-38125-215A to swap terminals 2 and 10 such that the brown with black stripe wire will be in the upper cavity 2, and the white with yellow stripe wire will be in the lower cavity 10. Use SI Doc ID 6422077 if needed for connector reference information.
