Please discard PIT5012D. The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI. Condition/Concern Antenna mast broken off of the roof mounted antenna base leaving the stud in the antenna base Recommendation/Instructions Replace only the antenna mast. Do NOT replace the antenna base. It is not necessary to replace the roof antenna mounting base. It was determined through review of returned parts that the broken antenna mast stud can easily be removed from the antenna base using needle-nose pliers or flat blade screwdriver or use a pick to walk the broke stud out of the antenna base. There are two different length antenna masts available in the dealer parts catalog group 9.647, depending on your customer’s needs. The original height antenna mast (280mm) and a shorter antenna mast (180mm). Note there is a slightly reduced AM and FM reception when using the shorter antenna mast. 2581634 2610911 2581644 Warranty Information There is not a labor time or labor operation associated with this PI.
