The procedure for thermostat replacement has been changed on transverse
Condition
mounted HFV6 Gen2 engines.
The procedure was changed to replacement of the thermostat housing only - Not
the pipe and water outlet housing.
Cause
Correction:
This procedure was changed due to parts being replaced that are not needed and labor time has been changed.
The current part 12678779 will no longer be used for thermostat replacement, it will be available for pipe leak
replacement only.
