Concerns:
Drain on rear panoramic roof
Symptom:
Customer complains that luggage compartment trim panel is wet or rear parking assistant
does not function.
Water remains in panoramic roof frame and does not drain away.
Cause:
The drain on the rear panoramic roof may be blocked by particles of dirt.
Remedial
Action:
Clean blocked water drain and install new drain sleeves.
Information
If the drain sleeves have already been replaced with the new component version in the past, only the
cleaning of the water drain hoses needs to be carried out in the event of a new complaint.

Open the glass panel fully.
Information
Make sure that the water is distributed in both directions so that it can flow out at the front and rear
water drain hose.

From inside the vehicle, pour water into the guide rails at the left and right  Drain -1- near the glass
panel using a commercially available measuring cup.

If no water flows out from the respective points, the water drain hoses  Drain -3- must be cleaned
and the drain sleeves  Drain -2- replaced.

Remove rear wheel housing liners.

Cleaning and pull-in aid must be pushed into the drain sleeve (vehicle underbody —  Drain -2-).

Cleaning and pull-in aid must be pushed through the water drain hose  Drain -3- in order to
clean the water drain hose  Drain -3-.

Replace rear drain sleeve with new component version against rear drain sleeve.
