Workshop findings:
• The cylinder head cover is leaking in the area around the threaded connection on one or multiple bolts (Figure
1).

Technical Background
In cases, burrs on the cylinder head cover bolts can cause the bolts to become loose. This can cause oil residue
in the area around the threaded connection.
Production Solution
Burrs in the screw are caused in the threading process. Adjustment and verification of the tool for material feeding
by screw supplier.

• Please replace the affected bolt(s).
• Please ensure that replacing the bolts remedies the leaking.
