Background
American Honda Motor Co., Inc. (AHM) is searching for certain 2022-2024 Civic 1.5Ls with a dealer concern of an oil leak from the half shaft support bearing discovered
during an inspection of the driveline. To better understand the cause of this condition, AHM would like to collect specific parts from the vehicle prior to you attempting a
repair of any kind.
Qualifiers
AHM is interested ONLY if the vehicle meets the following requirements:
1. Civics must be equipped with the 1.5L engine.
2. Oil leak must be visible on the half shaft support bearing (take a photo).
3. No holes in the CV boots.
4. No previous replacement of driveshaft/intermediate shaft.
5. Vehicle has not been in a collision.
6. No repair has been attempted for this issue.
