PCM 4.0 Navigation Update

Note:
For vehicles from MY 2017, the online map update is offered as part of Porsche Connect. Online map
updates are available twice a year in conjunction with an active Navigation & Infotainment package.

Restrictions:
ONLY approved for the respective markets.

The following are necessary so that the new navigation data can be stored on the PCM4.0 hard drive:

NOTICE
Voltage drop

Coding in the control unit is aborted

Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming

Before disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.

Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least 90 A to the vehicle battery.

releases.

Connect a battery charger (  Workshop Manual '2X00IN Battery trickle charging').

9818 - PIWIS Tester II must be connected and the ignition switched on.

Select the vehicle type and start the diagnostic application.

Select Additional menu.

Skip the question “Should a fault analysis protocol (FAP) be created? with •F11“ or confirm
it with •F12“.

Select Enabling Functions.

Log in using the user name.

Perform activation.

Then enter the licence key and press "next".
