The PORSCHE projector is a small lighting element that projects the word “PORSCHE” onto the floor as
soon as the relevant vehicle door is opened.

Information
Since the size and shape of the PORSCHE projector differs from the door warning light installed in the
vehicle, the door panels must be removed.

Removing door panels
1.1
Remove door panels on driver’s and passenger’s side.  Workshop Manual 'Removing and
installing front door panel'

Remove door guard light.
1.3
Insert PORSCHE projector “at the bottom” so that the retaining lugs at the left and right
 Figure 3 -1- are engaged securely. Clip in projector “at the top” and make sure that
the retaining lugs at the left and right  Figure 3 -2- engage. Check that the projector is
installed securely.

Install 96162440 PORSCHE projector.

Removing and installing door panels on driver’s and
passenger’s side, reading out and erasing fault memory
