Bulletin No.: Service Bulletin Date: 24-NA-003 January, 2024 TECHNICAL Subject: Brand: Sunroof Wind / Air Deflector Inoperative Model: Buick Enclave Chevrolet Traverse GMC Acadia Model Year: VIN: from to from to 2017 2024 - - Engine: Transmission: All All Involved Region or Country North America, Middle East, Israel, Palestine, Chili, Columbia, Peru, China - SGM Additional Options (RPOs) Equipped with ROOF-SUN, GLASS, SLIDING, ELEC, TRANSPARENT GLASS FIXED (RPO C3U, LFY) Condition Some customers may comment on the wind / air deflector coming unsecured and or not allowing the sunroof to operate as intended. Cause The cause of the condition may be due to the clip securing the wind / air deflector has come unsecured and/or broken. Correction Replace the clips and secure the deflector as needed. In the event of a conflict between the procedures set forth in this bulletin and the laws that apply to your dealership, you must follow those applicable laws. If you encounter a vehicle with the above concern, complete the following: 1. Open the sunroof window to the Full Open position. 4242149 2. Using a suitable tool, push the sunroof air deflector (2) down and back to release it from the sunroof housing assembly clips (1). Bulletin No.: 24-NA-003 January, 2024 Page 3 6489927 3. Pull the sunroof air deflector (2) upward and back to remove. Note: If the sunroof air deflector clip is broken, confirm that all pieces are found and removed. 4. Place the new pre-soaked sunroof air deflector clips (1) into the sunroof housing rails, and gently slide them back until the wings are fully seated into the rail cutouts (2). Note: Very little downward force is required to show if a micro-fracture is present. 5. Reinstall deflector and confirm operation.
