2/21/24, 2:48 PM 2023 F-550 SSM 52271 2023 F-Super Duty - Front Brake Assist - Perceived Sensitive Brake Application During Low Speed Driving Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 12 inch center display screen and driver assistance package DBCAY (minor feature code) may exhibit the brakes applying without brake pedal input during parking lot type driving below 5 mph (8 km/h). To confirm a vehicle is built with a certain minor feature code, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number (VIN) in the upper left corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS) OASIS report. This may be due to the Front Brake Assist feature of the vehicle. If the customer finds this feature too sensitive, it can be turned off in the vehicle's center display screen in the Features > Driver Assistance menu. This feature is unrelated to the Pre-Collision Assist feature of the vehicle. To disable the pop-up message that Front Brake Assist is off every time the vehicle is restarted and permanently disable the feature, download and perform the IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Configuration application using the latest version of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 14G647 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. https://www.fordtechservice.dealerconnection.com/?authfailure=true 1/1
