Condition
Customer states:
• Vibrations and/or ticking noise from the area of the rear axle at <5 km/h.
Workshop findings:
• The complaint can be reproduced. The noise originates in the electric drive motor on the rear axle.
Technical Background
During slow speed operations (<5 km/h) a vibration and/or ticking noise can be heard from the rear drive motor.
Production Solution
Not applicable.
Service
This TSB replaces Pending Service Solution (PSS) TSB 2071382: 93 PSS Vibrations/ticking noise rear of vehicle.
The complaint described above can be resolved with a software update.

Observe the following table, and ONLY perform the update after service campaign 93N1 has been
performed!
Always use DoIP when flashing a control module via ODIS in supported vehicles.
To Activate DoIP, select Administration>>General>>GFF Process>>DoIP communication>>Only allow
DoIP communication
This setting will automatically reset when the diagnostic session is ended.
You can tell if DoIP is active by observing a red LED on the VAS 6154(A)
To prevent the high-voltage battery from charging during the software update, the high-voltage
charging cable on vehicles with high-voltage components must be unplugged.Please not that highvoltage equipment may be damaged if the high-voltage battery is charge during a software update.
1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions.
2. Update the 00CE (J944) and 0051 (J841) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary:
