PROCEDURE
1.1.
Park the vehicle on an even surface with the transmission on neutral.
1.2.
1.3.
Apply the parking brake and set the master control switch to the stop position.
Set the battery disconnect switch in the battery compartment to the off position.

Verify if temporary slam latch N620000263 is installed. If so, proceed with the level 2 procedure to replace
the latch. If slam latch N81288 is present, no action is required.

2.1.
Remove N620000263 and replace by N81288. See next figures. Retain hardware.

2.2.
Installation is the opposite of removal. Torque the retained bolt shown in figure 4 to 2.95 ±0.4 lb-ft (4 ±0.5
N·m). Apply a torque seal.
2.3.
The vehicle can return to service.
