SUBJECT: DISABLED SECURITY SYSTEM
PURPOSE
Polaris has received feedback that the security system is not re-enabling after the vehicle battery voltage becomes low, or
the vehicle has not been used for several days. As a result, the lock and unlock buttons are inoperative until the security
system is enabled in Digital Wrench.
An updated VCM (Vehicle Control Module) software has been released to address this concern.
NOTICE
This concern does not affect the immobilizer function of the VCM and the vehicle will start normally when the fob is within
range.

• US / Canada Dealers: On DEX, go to Service and Warranty > Warranty Claim and Extended Coverage > Start a New
Warranty Claim. Select Service Advisory > Enter the VIN / PIN and Retrieve Registration. Select TSA-24-01 and Send
Claim.
• International Dealers: On iDEX, go to Service and Warranty> Warranty Claims>Start a New Warranty Claim. Select
Service Advisory > Enter the VIN / PIN and Retrieve Registration. Select TSA-24-01 and Send Claim.
COVERAGE PERIOD
Coverage will begin on February 29, 2024. Coverage will expire on February 29, 2025.

ALARM SYSTEM OVERVIEW
To activate the alarm:
• Press the LOCK button on the key fob. The horn will sound and lights will flash briefly to confirm that the alarm is
activated.
To deactivate the alarm (key fob must be within range):
• Press the UNLOCK button on the key fob or press the power button on the console panel while the key fob is within
range.
The vehicle’s key fob will become inactive if a period of 7 days has elapsed since last startup.
A battery voltage below 11.5 Volts will also cause the security function to become inactive.
• For AutoDrive transmission vehicles: Pressing the start button and/or the brake pedal will reestablish connection between
the vehicle control module (VCM) and the key fob.
• For manual transmission vehicles: Pressing the start button and/or the clutch pedal will reestablish connection between
the vehicle control module (VCM) and the key fob.

REPAIR PROCEDURE
15. If TCM was updated, perform grid learn and kiss point
learn procedures following the on-screen prompts.
TOOLS REQUIRED
• Safety Glasses
16. Go to Info > Vehicle tab. Verify VCM software version is
4082028 or higher.
• Digital Wrench®
VERIFY SECURITY ENABLEMENT
• Battery Charger
1. From the home screen, select Procedures.
2. Select Slingshot Configuration.

3. Select Security Configuration.
PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE
4. Select Enable Key Fob Security.
NOTICE
5. Verify that the current security state is enabled.
This update utilizes the vehicle update process in Digital
Wrench II. If the transmission control module requires
updating, perform the grid learn and kiss point learn
procedures following the on-screen prompts.
6. If security is disabled, select Enable Key Fob Security
on the right side of the screen.
IMPORTANT
During the VCM update, the gauge and other systems will
power down and appear as though the vehicle is off. Do
not disconnect or disrupt Digital Wrench during the
update. Once the update is complete, all modules will
power back on.
1. Park vehicle on a flat surface.
2. Shift vehicle to NEUTRAL
7. Power the vehicle off and press the lock button on the
fob. Verify that the horn honks and lights flash.
3. Apply parking brake.
4. Press START/STOP button to turn vehicle OFF.
8. Submit a Service Bulletin Warranty Claim for
TSA-24-01.
5. Connect the battery to the recommended battery
charger.
IMPORTANT
Make sure the vehicle battery is connected to a 5 amp
battery charger before proceeding. The battery needs to
be maintained at 12.6v at all times.
6. Verify Digital Wrench version 1.0.61.3 or higher has
been installed.
7. Connect MultiLink XP cables to PC and vehicle. Power
on to ignition mode by pressing the brake pedal or
pushing the start button twice. Do NOT start.
8. Open Digital Wrench II and select Auto Identify.
9. Select Vehicle Update.
10. Select the appropriate brake package equipped on the
vehicle.
11. Select the appropriate paddle shifter configuration.
12. Select the appropriate engine calibration level.
13. Select Update to MY21+ FIX VCM Calibration.
14. Select Continue to begin programming.
