Customer states:
• The message “Maneuver assist: fault. Please contact service” is briefly displayed on the instrument cluster
after the vehicle is started.
• The message disappears after a few seconds.
• After the message disappears, the maneuver assist system functions normally.
Workshop findings:
• The concern is sporadic.
• No relevant DTCs are stored in the driver assist systems control module, -J1121- (address word 00A5).
Technical Background
After the drive system is activated quickly and a gear is selected immediately, the message “maneuver assist:
fault. Please contact service” is briefly displayed in the instrument cluster as not all relevant network control unites
have yet been initialized.
Production Solution
Not applicable.

This TSB replaces PSS 2064985: PSS 91 "Maneuver assist: fault" message is displayed on the instrument
cluster.
No repair is available.
1. Do not perform any repairs. Any repairs for this concern may be denied.
2. Instruct the customer that this condition is normal.

Workaround:
The maneuver assist can be deactivated manually to prevent further fault messages being displayed in the
instrument cluster.
To do so, select the following on the home screen: CAR > Parking aid > Maneuver assist.
Or
When the parking aid is active, select
Maneuver assist.
The settings are linked to the user accounts. If necessary, the setting must also be changed in the other
user accounts.
