This bulletin applies to vehicles built on and before November 24,
2022 (MDH 1124XX) equipped with Tru-Lok Front & Rear Axles (Sales
Code DSE).

SYMPTOM:
**Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation
the technician may find that the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) has been set:
● C1451-11 - Service Axle Locker System**
Customers may also comment on a Service Axle Locker message displayed in the Electronic Vehicle
Information Center (EVIC) for this condition.
CAUSE:
Failed front or Rear Axle Locker Sensor.
This bulletin supersedes Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 03-003-22, date of issue July 14, 2022, which
should be removed from your files. All revisions are highlighted with **asterisks** and include a new
market, model year and a new DTC.
DISCUSSION:
A service kit (Sensor Kit, Axle: 68544629AA) is available to repair the Axle Locker Sensor on the
vehicles equipped with both the M210 and M220 Tru-Lok axles (Sales Code DSE). This parts kit must
be used when the Axle Locker Sensor fails. Do not replace the Front or Rear Axle assemblies. Refer to
the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/Service Library under: Service Info>03 Differential and Driveline / Sensors / Removal and Installation / Axle Locker Sensor.
