The customer states they smell fuel,
AND
The MIL is not ON and there are no stored DTCs.
ACTION
1.
Check for evidence of any fuel leak.
2.
Check for any malfunctioning fuel system or EVAP system parts.
3.
If no concerns are found, replace the PCV hose with the one listed in PARTS
INFORMATION following the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1.
Check for evidence of any fuel leak and correct as necessary.
2.
Check for any malfunctioning fuel system or EVAP system parts and correct as
necessary.
3.
If no concerns are found, replace the PCV hose with the one listed in PARTS
INFORMATION as follows:
a.
Engine cover
Remove the engine cover by
pulling it off in an upwards
direction.

Locate the PCV hose to be
replaced.

c.
Relocate the clamps that secure
the PCV hose, to allow for PCV
hose removal.

d.
Pull on the PCV hose in the
directions shown in Figure 4, for
PCV hose removal.

e.
Install the new PCV hose in the reverse order of removal.
f.
Reinstall the engine cover.
