Condition

Concern
Both "Stealth Mode" and "Shuttle Mode" are intentionally unavailable for many di erent
reasons by design. This is considered normal operation.
Correction:
Please review the following information with the customer, as all conditions listed below are required for each
respective mode to be selected.
The Corvette E-Ray has two electric-only methods of propulsion. They are called Stealth Mode, and Shuttle Mode.
Stealth mode is used to silently exit your residence before the engine turns on for maximum performance
capability. The typical range in Stealth Mode is about three to four miles, depending on the starting SOC, vehicle
speed, and other driving conditions. This range will vary based on the individual. Shuttle Mode is not intended
for public roads, and it limits the vehicle to approximately 15 mph.
In order to select either of the electric-only drive modes that are available on the Corvette E-Ray, the following
criteria must be true:
Stealth Mode Enable Conditions:
1. Vehicle in “O ” power mode.
2. Foot depressing brake pedal.
3. Seatbelt on.
4. Doors closed.
5. Attempt to change drive modes and wait for the prompt.
6. Outside Air Temperature > 50°F (as determined by the vehicle).
7. High Voltage Battery > 28% displayed state of charge.
8. 12v Battery > 65% state of charge (this parameter is not displayed to the customer).
9. 12v Battery Temperature > 41°F (this parameter is not displayed to the customer).
10. Parked on a grade < 12%.
11. Fuel level > 8%.
12. Other hidden internal factors determined by various control modules.
13. Press Start Button.
Shuttle Mode Enable Conditions:
1. Vehicle in “O ” power mode.
2. Foot depressing brake pedal.
3. Doors closed.
4. Attempt to change drive modes and wait for the prompt.
5. Outside Air Temperature > 14°F (as determined by the vehicle).
6. HV Battery > 30% displayed state of charge.
7. Parked on a grade < 12%.
8. Other hidden internal factors determined by various control modules.
9. Press Start Button.
Notes
HVAC cabin heating/cooling/defrost/fan will not function in these modes, since the engine is required for those
functions. Heated/Ventilated Seats and Heated Steering Wheel will function in these modes. If heat, A/C, or
defrost controls are pressed while in Stealth Mode, the engine will automatically start and the climate controls will
be active.
The criteria for exiting these modes can be found in the owner’s manual.
Warranty Information
Diagnosis of a "Stealth Mode Unavailable" or a Shuttle Mode Unavailable" message, along with the absence of
DTCs, is not covered under warranty, due to the large number of normal factors which will prevent Stealth and/or
Shuttle Modes.
