Cause
Some customers may have a check engine light with code(s) U0585 and/or U0586
setting.
Vehicles built before 12/07/2023 had a potential for upper and/or lower grill shutter
to falsely set codes based on the rmware. Newer parts have updated rmware to
correct this condition.
Correction:
First check GWM to see if the grill shutter(s) have been replaced previously.
If the shutter setting the code was previously replaced follow SI diagnostics for the code.
If the shutter has not been previously replaced, replace the active grill shutter assembly that is setting the code.
Upper shutter for U0585 and lower shutter for U0586.
