Bulletin No.: PIP5972 Published date: 03/26/2024 Preliminary Information PIP5972 Incorrect MCV Received From Parts Department Models Brand: Chevrolet Model: Corvette Model Years: 2020 - 2024 VIN: from All Engine: to All All Transmissions: M1L, M1M Involved Region or Country North America Condition Incorrect MCV received from parts department Cause Misboxed parts 24059078 Some dealers have reported that when making a MCV replacement repair that the part received has 2 less solenoids than the part removed. Technicians may also notice DTCs P0878, P2812, and P281b set immediately upon start up after MCV installation. It has been determined that some parts were mislabeled. Please compare the number of solenoids in the MCV before installation. mLSD (manual limited slip differential) equipped cars will have 6 solenoids, eLSD (electronic limited slip differential) equipped cars will have 8. Please make sure that the replacement part has the same amount of solenoids as the one you are removing. We are currently sorting stock and cleaning up the parts in the PDCs but cannot track what is on dealer shelves or inventory. Please do not install the part if it is incorrect, return it to the PDC as incorrect part. Version History Version Modi ed 1 03/26/2024 - Created on. © 2024 General Motors. All Rights Reserved.
