Workshop findings: • The customer statement can be reproduced. In the control unit for high-voltage battery charging unit (diagnostic address 00C6), either one of the following DTC entries (intermittent/static) is stored for the AC fuse, or a DTC entry (intermittent/static) is stored for the DC fuse. 1. AC fuse: • P1A0800: Charging unit 1 fuse blown Symptom: 397395 • P1A0F00: Charging unit 2 fuse blown Symptom: 397396 • P1A1600: Charging unit 3 fuse blown Symptom: 397397 OR 2. Technical Service Bulletin 1. AC fuse: Perform charge test, delete event memory entry, and reassess complaint / replace highvoltage battery charging unit - J1050 - (if necessary) OR 2. DC fuse: Switch terminal 15 off and on again, delete event memory entry and check drive system can be activated / replace high-voltage battery charging unit - J1050 - (if necessary) Depending on the fuse which has an event memory entry (AC or DC) logged, proceed as follows: Regarding AC fuse: Carry out an AC charge test, delete the DTC entry/entries and reevaluate the complaint: • If the charge test is successful and the DTC entry/entries can be deleted: • The measures are completed and the vehicle can be returned to the customer. • If the charge test is not successful and/or the event memory entry/entries cannot be deleted, then the highvoltage battery charging unit - J1050 - must be replaced as per the ELSA Workshop Manual. OR Regarding DC fuse: Switch off and on terminal 15, delete DTC entry and check if the drive system can be restored: • If the DTC entry can be deleted after terminal 15 has been switched off and on again, and the drive system can be restored: • The measures are completed and the vehicle can be returned to the customer. • If the DTC entry cannot be deleted after switching terminal 15 off and on again and/or the drive system cannot be restored, then the high-voltage battery charging unit – J1050 - must be replaced as per the ELSA Workshop Manual.
