Update SCN Coding for DRVU Control Unit
This is to notify you of the Service Campaign Launch to update the SCN coding for the drive unit “DRVU” Control Unit in 66,944
Model Year (“MY”) 2023 C-Class, GLC, S-Class, and SL (206, 223, 232, and 254 platform) vehicles. The vehicles will be visible and
flagged in VMI as “OPEN” on April 5, 2024.
Background
Mercedes-Benz AG, the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined
that on certain MY 2023 C-Class, GLC, S-Class, and SL (206, 223, 232, and 254
platform) vehicles, the DRVU control unit does not correspond to current production
specifications. As a result, an incorrect fault stored message may appear (e.g.
U188D00 and U015400) in the instrument cluster, indicating a “missing signal,”
when in fact such signal is not required at this time.
