    2007 ISUZU I-370 with 90400.0 miles

My 2007 Isuzu i 370 extended cab pickup truck has a serious issue with not starting. It has failed to start at least 7 times in less than 4 days. The dealership and Isuzu motor corporation are clueless and to what is going on with it. I work as a truck mechanic, hooked up a diagnostic computer to it. Code is B2960, security system sensor valid but incorrect. This code is found under the body control module. I have the correct keys. I turn the key to accessory, wait to crank the engine for 15 seconds, try to start, and of course , fails to start. The ignition switch tells the security system to not to start the truck. Passlock security system light flashes for a minimum of 10 to 12 minutes, and has failed to start for longer than 30 minutes. This is the same recall that general motors is currently having with several of their models. But my truck was built through a coop between general motors and Isuzu. But neither corporation will never recognize each others exsistence with any sort of recall. I can not go on with this issue. I have talked to the local Isuzu dealership and Isuzu motor corporation. I'm scared that this vehicle will soon stop working while i am driving, and cause a major accident. The 3 on-board computers retain codes. Therefore Isuzu and the Isuzu dealerships can not lie about not having and codes.

B2960 code. Key code incorrect but valid. Body control modual fails to sense the chipped key. Vehicle has failed to start on several occasions recently. Isuzu dealerships do not have capability to cut new keys or reprogram the bcm. Chevy and gmc dealerships with not service Isuzu vehicles, even though they are general motors products.
    UNKNOWN OR OTHER,

    2007 ISUZU I-370 with 105600. miles

Code B2960 key code incorrect but valid. Which means a faulty ignition key cylinder. Security light flashes, engine cranks, fails to start. Have to wait 10 or more minutes to reset. Still fails to start. Wait another 10 or more minutes for reset. After more than 20 minutes, it starts, maybe. Isuzu motors does not supply its dealerships anymore with key cutting codes, ignition key cylinder parts, nor the software relearn procedures to resolve this at the local level. Chevy and gmc dealerships don't have the capability to be able to work on Isuzu vehicles to cut keys or relearn the ignition to the body control module.

2007 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX with 142000. miles

The problem started with "starting disabled due to theft system". Upon further investigation i got body codes B3055 and B2960. Upon further investigation i found online this to be a real problem for a lot of people due to the pk3 sensor in the ignition. The problem happened when the battery had died. I jumped started the car as per the manual instructs, drove into town "1 mile from home" left it running the 20 min i was there come home and parked it. Next morning it wouldn't start and the info screen said starting disabled due to the ft mode. Everything oint to a faulty ignition and pk3 sensor in ignition switch not allowing it to read the ecm.

    ENGINE,

    2003 SATURN ION

If the Saturn vehicle is exposed to temperatures at or approaching 32 degrees f for several hours when the engine is not running (usually 6-10 hours), then when you attempt to start the vehicle, the ignitIon switch clicks and the car stalls. The security system kicks in. The security light blinks and the odometer screen reads: 'service engine soon.' fuel will not be sent to the engine. The vehicle will now not start for about 8-10 minutes as the security system resets. After 8-10 minutes, the security light will stop blinking and then go out. 'the service engine soon' scroll light will stop and also go out. Now, you may attempt to start the vehicle again. .However, if the ignitIon switch grease has not adequately warmed, then the process will begin again. A signal that the vehicle will likely start after the present 'lock-out' will be when the ignitIon seems to crank a bit more than just a click, before locking out again. Remedy:1. The grease in the ignitIon switch is freezing and/or hardening so that the ignitIon switch can not engage. The dealer must recall all of these vehicles and replace the ignitIon switch and grease. They apparently have a redesigned switch, which certainly can be construed as an admissIon to the faulty design. Of course, this type of remedial measure cannot be used in court, but is certainly helpful to those of us consumers who are the victims of the faulty design. Saturn must openly acknowledge the mistake and fix it, before someone is stranded in the cold, in an area with no cell phone service. 2003 Saturn Ion. This car will not start in the cold weather. If the temperature is below 32 degrees f for an extended period of time, the car will stall. This will be a recall item once we get together and sue Saturn for this obvious negligent behavior. This problem is well known and is continual. Perhaps when some unfortunate soul is stranded in the wilderness and dies, then the manufacturer will pay attentIon to this cold weather start problem. The public is well aware of the problem and so is Saturn. It would be well worth it for the corporate office to crunch the numbers and decide to recall the vehicle for this problem. I have read that the difficultly may have to do with a type of lubricant on the starter, which hardens in the cold weather. The car stalls as a result, and then the pass-lock kicks in. After 8 minutes, the car may start, or one may have to wait an additIonal 8 minutes (or more) for the ignitIon switch to loosen up enough to start the engine. However, the car may stall yet again---and set off the passlock system yet again. Saturn is negligent at the very least--and criminally negligent if they know of this problem---the potential dangers of it---and do nothing. Went to start it in cold weather, heard a click and noticed service vehicle on the dashboard. Car would not turn over after turning key in ignitIon several times. 2003 CHEVROLET IMPALA with 175123. miles

March 2, 2013 my car would not start. The security light had been on and after looking in the owner's manual, it was determined that the passlock system, aka the security system, was engaged and not allowing the fuel injectors to start my car. Upon research on the internet, a lot of tips were provided on how to "fix" the problem. They ranged from disconnecting the battery, taking apart the ignition cylinder and leaving the key in the on position for 10-30 minutes. For other people experiencing this problem, show this official service bulletin from gm #04-08-47-003 to your dealer or repair person! Had many incidents and almost crashed where car will shut down while vehicle is moving. I had change my ignition at the gm dealership twice and my car still has the same problem. I special order my car feb 2002 and had been the only owner of this car to present. Gm dealership technician notes: - on january 16 2007, 7,879 miles. My car would not start. Put key in the ignition and the gauges went up about half way and stayed there until doors auto locked, then the gauges dropped all the way down. Tried to start and it cranked but will not start. Usually you can hear the pump priming but did not. This still happens to this date. After 20 minutes or so car did start and drove for a while. It died at a stop and would not restart. When tried to restart gauges still moved with the locks. But anti theft light was on the gauges did not come up. Technician verified concern. Car did start and drove into the shop. After several attempts the car did not start. Testing found loss of ignition 1 voltage. Technician isolated to an open circuit in the ignition switch. Technician replaced ignition switch. After a few moths i had the problem come and go and the dealership could not figure out the problem. - on november 24, 2012, 47,906 miles. Ignition will not turn over at times, and also will set off alarm when key is turned at times. Technician found code B2960, ignition pass lock sensor failing. Technician replaced lock cylinder and key, system operated as designed. But on december 17, 2012 vehicle lose power and shut off while driving on the highway. Took it back to the dealership but they could not duplicate concern while test driving it. Dealership did not do anything else and turned me away saying my car is in good working order. I have all receipts when i took my car to be fixed at the dealership. Car still have the same problem and very concerned and scared to drive it.

    2002 CHEVROLET IMPALA

I own a 2002 chevy Impala. On 5/20/05 the security light started coming on and would remain on. The security light continued to come on and now the car would not start. It would take 10-30minutes before i could start the car. I took the car to a dealership and they replaced the ignition cylinder. On 6/15/05 the same exact problem started up again. This time the dealership installed a new starter. On 7/16/05 same problem arose again with security light. A diagnostic was done and codes came up from a notice from gm (8/04). The code #'s were B2958 and B2960. The code said to repair poor terminal connections at body control module. The security light continues to come on and car does not start. This continues on/off from 9/11/05-11/28/05. On 11/28/05 the ignition lock/sensor is replaced and the pcm is reprogrammed. And i am given a new key. Looks like at the moment the problem is solved. Well today 7/17/08 i notice that the security light is back on and i begin to cringe because of what i went through in 05'. I get online to see if anyone else is experiencing the same problem and i was shocked to see the # of complaints from disgruntled customers about this security light. This is an outrage! Gm by now is well aware of the problem with this security light going on. It would seem to me that there would have been a recall notice going out to chevy Impala owners. I have contacted gm. My complaint is on file. I have 2 file #'s. One for in 2005--# [xxx] and a new one just started today (7/17/08)--#-[xxx]. Please google chevy Impala and security light problem and see the list of complaints that come up. This is an absolute disgrace! I feel that this is something that needs to be looked into asap. My car won't start due to the security light coming on. I had my car towed into a dealership. They stated no start just crank theft light came on. They inspect and found code B2960, replaced pass lock cylinder and recode and program. This should be a recall issue, there to many complaints with this car. There was a recall regarding in fuel pressure regulators and this is similar to that fuel being cut off from the engine. And it says that when these cars reach 102,000 miles this is what happens it either won't start due to security or when you shift it locks and security lights come on. Samething. Please look into this matter it cost me $580.00 to repair this. And they new it would happen when you reach the 102,000 mile point.
