Abs module, hcu module currently available to be inspected if dealer won’t fix. Potential loss of brakes. Dealer confirmed i had codes relating to a known problem with both abs and hcu modules. Dealership ran diagnostics. Service braking system warning lamp appeared on dash. Codes C0020 and U0147. Fca star letter case #: s2005000004 letter relates to codes stating general electrical failure. Dealership wants to charge me $785.21 to fix. They started by saying the cost would be close to $2800, when i asked why so much, they said i need several other repairs but couldn’t provide a break down. I brought my vehicle in with the letter about the faulty equipment and the codes and was told it would get taken care of.

2017 RAM 2500 with 8000.0 miles
After approximately 8k miles my 2017 Ram 2500 intermittently had the traction control light and abs light illuminate. At first it would only temporarily flicker and chime, bventually the code/lights remained in the system. When this occurs cruise control is not available. I'm not sure if the abs or traction control systems operate. After multiple visits to the dealership the issue was located and the abs module and hydraulic motor control were replaced. Everything has operated properly until the last couple weeks, which is 2 years and 3 months later, with 19.8k miles. After starting the truck and letting off the brake the abs/traction control lights flashed and then it didn't reoccur for several days. Then as time went on and bumpier roads were encountered it would happen more frequently, sometimes several times per minute. This felt exactly like what i had experienced previously. Then it was back to the dealer where the code was traced to C0020 - abs pump motor control - general electrical failure. So again, the abs module and hydraulic motor control needed replacement. After a handful of miles things are back to normal.

Abs light comes on intermittently when driving. Dsc (stability control) light also comes on, since it relies on abs working to be effective. In this mode, hydraulic brake functions remain, but safety is reduced without abs active: directional control in a skid is now non-existent, and emergency swerves can become wild and highly erratic. Safely handling emergency or evasive maneuvers is significantly reduced. Diagnostic codes in the car's computer show C0020, U0415

2010 MAZDA MAZDA3 with 123100. miles
Abs light and traction control lights are on. It is on since march.2018 the first time i have notice this problem, i was going to work and abs light came on and then disapeared and after a few days like that just stayed on. I took it to the Mazda dealership in jacksonville fl, and they found three different faulty codes ; one for the abs control motor C0020 one for the dcs switch C110964-64-60 and one for the abs control module U0415 92-48. They gave me an estimate of $1100 including labor. I think this is ridiculously high! I have purchased my car in 2016 january for $7900! 2010 MAZDA MAZDA3 with 22000.0 miles
The abs & dsc (dynamic stability control) instrument panel warning lights came on. I have had the car tested at a repair shop and two separate computer readouts show codes C0020, U0140 & U0140 (related to the abs hydraulic unit). The shop provided service bulletin no. 04-002/13, last issued: 7/17/2013 related to this problem. I understand i may not have functional abs or dsc but the brakes, while not having abs, still function. I was advised this may be a very expensive repair but since it is a safety related issue, Mazda may fix the problem at no charge. I would argue that not having abs or dsc is most certainly a safety issue and i should have received a recall notice. Please advise.
