My wife, while traveling on the interstate (i35), had a service transmission and engine light come on. The car immediately decreased in speed and performance and became undrivable at highway speeds, she had to limp to the next exit and call and wait for aaa. This was very dangerous due to highway traffic and speeds as well as her being stranded in the middle of nowhere in ks. When we got to the cdjr dealership they said it was a common, known, issue (fault codes P0887 and C2226) and a software update was required which, by the way, is not free. So $100.45 later the car is "fixed" and we are on our way. This is a known defect (software issue), as identified by the manufacturer, which can be a safety risk to the driver and occupants and should be a no charge repair or recall in my opinion.
