Barometric Pressure - Turbocharger/Supercharger Inlet Pressure Correlation

DTC P006D, sometimes indicated as P006D00 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a generic fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the air/fuel mixture causing barometric pressure - turbocharger/supercharger inlet pressure correlation.


DTC P006D: Barometric Pressure - Turbocharger/Supercharger Inlet Pressure Correlation


The engine control system has detected a correlation between the barometric pressure and the turbocharger/supercharger inlet pressure. This may indicate a problem with the turbocharger/supercharger system.
Possible causes include:
- A leak in the turbocharger/supercharger system
- A problem with the turbocharger/supercharger boost control system
- A problem with the turbocharger/supercharger exhaust housing
If the problem is not corrected, the engine may not operate correctly.

2012 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE with 127000. miles

Received check engine light (cel) P006D while vehicle was in motion. Cause was a faulty oem filter housing w/ cooler 636463. Safety risk is while this error was activated no other engine problem would be reported to the driver. Replacement cost $953.76. Service station stated many of these failures are being reported at this time. Currently Jeep does not have a recall on this failure.
