Reductant Heater "A" Control Circuit High

DTC P20BC, sometimes indicated as P20BC00 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the air/fuel mixture causing reductant heater "a" control circuit high.

1. The DTC P20BC: Reductant Heater "A" Control Circuit High code is a generic code that is set when the reductant heater "A" control circuit is high.
2. There are several possible causes for this code, including a failed reductant heater, a failed reductant heater sensor, a shorted reductant heater circuit, or a failed reductant heater controller.
3. The first step in diagnosing this code is to check the reductant heater and the reductant heater sensor for continuity.
4. If the reductant heater and the reductant heater sensor are found to be defective, the next step is to replace them.
5. If the reductant heater and the reductant heater sensor are found to be OK, the next step is to check the reductant heater circuit for shorts.
6. If the reductant heater circuit is found to be shorted, the next step is to replace the reductant heater.
7. If the reductant heater circuit is found to be OK, the next step is
