P2316
Ignition Coil "F" Primary Control Circuit High
DTC P2316, sometimes indicated as P231600 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the ignition system causing ignition coil "f" primary control circuit high.
There are a few things that could cause this code, but the most common is a bad ignition coil. Other causes could be a bad crankshaft position sensor, a bad camshaft position sensor, a bad ignition module, or a bad PCM. If you have any of those components replaced, be sure to clear the code and see if it comes back.
