Transmission Friction Element "D" Apply Time Range/Performance

DTC P2703, sometimes indicated as P270300 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the causing transmission friction element "d" apply time range/performance.

This code is set when the transmission controller detects that the time it takes for the friction element "D" to apply is outside of the normal operating range. Possible causes include a worn friction element, low transmission fluid level, or a malfunctioning transmission controller.
If this code is caused by a worn friction element, it will need to be replaced. If the low transmission fluid level is the cause, the fluid level will need to be corrected. If the transmission controller is malfunctioning, it will need to be replaced.
