P2BAC

NOx Exceedence - Deactivation of EGR

DTC P2BAC, sometimes indicated as P2BAC00 is an OBD diagnostic trouble code indicating a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle powertrain (i.e. engine and gearbox). This code identifies an error with the hybrid propulsion system causing nox exceedence - deactivation of egr.

The ECU has detected that the amount of nitrogen oxides (NOx) in the exhaust gas has exceeded the limit set by the manufacturer. This may be due to a fault in the EGR system or another component that contributes to NOx emissions.
-Check the EGR system for leaks or damage.
-Check the engine for signs of abnormal combustion, such as knocking or pinging.
-If the problem persists, have the vehicle serviced by a qualified technician.
